T.O.P (Treatment Opportunities through Placement) Luncheon

An ever-popular bi-annual event, the TOP Luncheon, represents NCADD-MD's largest  fundraising event, and helps to fund several community and family focused initiatives. This year we were pleased to welcome noted sports broadcaster, Billy Packer, as our keynote speaker. Mr. Packer is currently celebrating his 26th year as the lead college basketball analyst for CBS Sports.  Over 225 guests joined us at M&T Bank Stadium for lunch. Feel free to contact us to inquire into tickets or sponsorship opportunities for the 2009 T.O.P Luncheon.

Legislative Luncheon

NCADD-Maryland is a leading advocate for public policy related to substance abuse and recovery issues. Each year, during the Maryland General Assembly session, we maintain a regular, and very visable, presence in Annapolis, our state capital, often testifying on legislation or policy important to our work.  A major highlight of our time in Annapolis each year comes with the convening of our annual "Legislative Luncheon". The luncheon represents an opportunity for us to invite our statewide stakeholders to visit Maryland's "seat of political power", and to have lunch with their state lawmakers. Plan to attend in February 2008!  Legislative Luncheon - Flyer

Advocacy Training

Let your voice be heard! Attend one of our popular Advocacy Training Programs, held twice annually, to learn how to be an effective advocate at the local, state and national level. To kick off our "2008 Advocacy Initiative" NCADD-MD is collaborating with the nationally-known Johnson Institute and the Faces and Voices of Recovery (FAVOR) groups to convened a "Recovery Ambassadors" Workshop. Advocacy and public policy training sessions are open to all persons interested in speaking up on behalf of our community’s support for the needs of treatment and recovery!

Professionals Dinner

In March, NCADD-Maryland hosts its highly popular “Professionals Dinner”. The annual event usually draws professionals in the field and friends of NCADD-Maryland. The dinner is usually timed to coincide with the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, and is held at the Hilton Inn located in Columbia, Maryland. The evening features an awesome buffet dinner, a networking and an opportunity to hear a great recovery message from an “invited”: guest speaker.
