Ways You Can Help Us

Donate

NCADD-Maryland is a 501(c)(3) organization, registered in the State of Maryland. The diversity and success of our programs depends directly on private support. The generosity of our funders has enabled us to provide some of the best educational and advocacy programs in the region. The NCADD-Maryland Tuerk Conference, Cultural Awareness Training by Peter Bell, and our newly revised and enhanced web site were all the direct result of funding provided by organizations committed to making certain that quality treatment resources are available and accessible to each and every person suffering from the disease of addiction. Individual contributions make sure that our advocacy work and direct services for the recovery community remain in place. NCADD-Maryland accepts direct contributions and also participates in United Way programs.

Sponsor and Event

Perhaps your business is interested in sponsoring our educational or fundraising events that draw over 1,000 persons from the mid-Atlantic each year. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate to the community and your customers that your business recognizes the importance and urgency of this community-wide issue. Contact us to receive information on sponsorship opportunities. A recent survey revealed that as many as 1 in 5 persons know of someone affected by this disease. Make a difference. Save a life. Or contact us to learn more about our various giving programs. Thanks to our generous funding partners and supporters! We could not do it without you!

Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities range from staffing educational and fundraising events to distributing materials to attending local health fairs. Volunteers are needed to assist in our advocacy efforts. Students seeking service learning hours have an opportunity to experience grass-roots advocacy work in their own communities. Make a difference in someone's life! To learn more about our volunteer opportunities, please contact Nancy Rosen-Cohen, Executive Director at 410-625-6482 or Contact Us. Let us know your areas of interest. Students, please include your age, grade and school and parent's contact information.

David Nelson web

The NCADD-MD Board of Directors and staff are sad to announce the passing of David Eric Nelson, our Board Chair from 2009 to present day. The Board of Directors sends our sincere condolences to his wife, Betsy, and family on their great loss. We express our deepest gratitude for the time David so generously donated to our organization -- for his leadership, his vision and stewardship during his chairmanship. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

His family has generously designated NCADD-MD as one of the organizations to receive contributions in his honor. Please designate in the comments that your donation is being made in his name.
